Blender - Composition of a rendering with Blender
After choosing a theme from reference images, we will get familiar with the Blender interface and basic commands. We will learn the principles of lighting a photo set and study the elementary concepts for creating materials to apply to objects. Finally we will manage the post production of the rendering to produce, in the end, photorealistic images and videos.
BY FOLLOWING THIS COURSE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO:
The course aims to teach the basics of working on Blender and make the student able to build and render a 3D scene.
ARE THERE ANY REQUIREMENTS OR PREREQUISITES FOR THE COURSE?
None. The course starts from the basics.
You must have Hardware that meets the following system requirements to run the Software:
https://www.blender.org/download/requirements/
TO WHOM THIS COURSE IS ADDRESSED:
Anyone who needs to have photorealistic images of their projects.
Although it is possible to purchase and follow the course in asynchronous mode, our advice is to purchase it in synchronous mode to have our live support during the course.
To get information on the departures of the course in synchronous mode, send an email to info@biunivoca.com.
If the course is purchased without expressing the preference to participate in synchronous mode, it is not possible to be included in the courses starting later.
This is to prevent the user from following the course independently and then when he is inserted into the starting courses he finds himself at a different level than the other participants, creating confusion and compromising the educational path.
The course is free of charge for teachers from any educational institution.
Fill in the following form of interest to participate, you will be sent an email with the start dates once reached the number to activate the course.

01
Base geometries and complex meshes
Get familiar with the Blender interface and its basic commands.

02
Modeling and editing tools
We create and modify any kind of geometry we need to build the 3D scene.

03
Modifiers and other archibuges
Blender has several tools to parametrically and non-destructively modify geometries.

04
External objects: import/export
On the web we will find already made objects that save us time. But not all are ready to use and must be managed.

05
Fiat lux: light types
We'll learn the basics of lighting a scene with different types of light sources.
51m 28sCourse purchase required -
06
The scene in black and white... and GI
To study the lighting of a scene we prefer not to apply any material or color. We would have a clearer idea of the relationship between light and shadow.

07
Unconventional lights
Lighting is not always generated by light objects. Let’s see what other methods can be used.
37m 41sCourse purchase required -
08
Composition and fiction
Methods and tricks to produce interesting light effects in a short time and with little work.
14m 28sCourse purchase required -
09
Theoretical (but not too much) physics of materials
Let's study the materials in a conceptual way and free from any software, to better understand the logic of operation.
38m 53sCourse purchase required -
10
Working with base materials and nodes
We'll become familiar with the Blender node editor and basic material parameters.

11
Texture: unwrap the surfaces
The application (mapping) of textures to surfaces can become a complex work and we see the main aspects.

12
Material VS Light
When a material emits light, we can use it as a light source, but with some limitations and warnings.

Scene setup and rendering
Let's set the parameters of rendering and output of images and videos.

Post production, not so post
Let’s discover the composer, the wonderful tool of Blender for post-production.

15
Editing in Photoshop? No, thanks
Blender can become a photo editing and video editing software, which saves us time, costs and work on additional external software.

The conductor
Let’s sum up what we’ve learned: in Blender we work on the stage like a conductor works with sections of musicians.
